Why Should I Go?
THINK of anything hard to find, so unusual and distinctive it’s hard to imagine a store that could carry it. Then come here! Everywhere you look there are lovely surprises – a tea set from the 1920s, a cylinder from a turn-of-the-century Edison phonograph, a Wallace Nutting hand-colored photograph, vintage postcards, tiny books from the 1940s, and trinkets that would have been found in bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and lounges from the first half of last century.
The best way to describe this shop? If your granny and HER mother had good taste and managed to store, in a collection of big boxes in the attic, many of their kitchen items, reading materials, decorations and other household goods, and you opened all those boxes and placed them in a very cute little store... well, that’s what Out Of The Past is like.
You never know what you’re going to discover here. So even if you don’t find something that tickles your fancy on one particular visit, come back again... and again. Off season, Out Of The Past is open on weekends, but it might be a good idea to call first to check.
