Why Should I Go?
THE Mooring is something of an anomaly. It was actually designed as a guest house when it was built, in 1882, unlike the vast majority of other Cape May inns, which were originally intended as private family homes. There are nine guest rooms and two suites, each with private bath, AC, ceiling fan and period furnishings. Several have ocean views, two have a private porch, and very few have TV, and we think that’s a GOOD thing.
The Mooring’s dining room features tables for two, rather than larger, communal tables, which means you can enjoy the bountiful, home-cooked breakfasts with a little more privacy. And let’s face it, not all of us are morning people! Complimentary on-site parking is available, as well as free street parking on Stockton Avenue. Other facilities include refrigerators, ice, filtered drinking water, microwave and tea kettle.
